Yeah.... Tom Hanks was funny with the messing with the buzzer. Seen loads of contestants do that! But I didn't really get the Sean Connery thing. It didn't look or sound like him. Does SNL have something against him?

I didn't realise it started in the 60s. Who was the original presenter? I've seen one of the ones with the kids. The one who won it was really funny. The very last answer was 'This general said "The eyes of the world are upon you" in 1944'. The other contestants were quite far behind but might catch him if he got the answer wrong and bet lots of money. They both put 'Who is Dwight Eisenhower?' and bet lots. So they were on absolute tenterhooks. He put 'Who is some guy in Normandy? I just won $75,000!' And he had cos he didn't bet anything! The whole place fell about laughing. Art Flemming
He and Alex have been the only two presenters in the programs history!

I don't know the background of it. But they have done probably a dozen Jeopardy skits on SNL and Sean Connery is always one of the contestants and always winding up Alex.
I don't know why either. I thought maybe it was some sort of longtime rift with the Scots and Canadians (Alex is Canadian)

Watching some recent Jeopardy and just got to the Buzzy Cohen games. Looking forward to finding out why they are named after one of the contestants. I'm guessing he won the biggest amount ever?

I don't if he was biggest winner ever, there was a guy on recently that they were buzzing about. But I remember Buzzy winning the tournament of champions and when he was on originally he was many days in a row so his combined totals must be up there. He was a very likable guy when he was on. This clip is a little 3 minute synopsis. I never knew he trained like an athlete. Saying physical fitness improved his mental fitness. Interesting. www.jeopardy.com/jbuzz/contestant-jeffect/buzzy-cohen-jeopardy-showed-me-what-i-was-capable

Jeopardy has certainly given away a lot of prize money over the years.
I'm not sure if Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune has given away more.
The funny part is to win on Jeopardy you have to be very intelligent and well schooled in a lot of subjects and good under pressure.
On Wheel of Fortune you just need some luck and to be good at playing the childhood game of hangman.
