This aired last Thursday, 19 December.
If you want to watch something which will get your blood up, this is the programme. It is a dramatisation of the Stafford Hospital scandal, focussing on the impact the death of her mother and the subsequent fight for justice had on Julie Bailey who led the Cure The NHS campaign. It was absolutely chilling at times. The senior management team, as well reported on in the press, were absolute bar stewards. And away from the hospital, she was subjected to hostility and abuse by residents who were afraid their local hospital would shut and those who worked there, at one point attacking her café. Honestly, the way she was treated beggared belief; I hope if any of them watched it they hung their heads in shame.
It is well worth a watch.

I watched this. The scary thing about it was that it was true. Julie was a very brave lady doing what she did.

I agree with all the above. What got me too was the Chief Medical examiner coming to the café and saying to Julie she must keep the pressure up. Surely the examiner should have been able to act without the need for further complaints and pressure? The lack of any direct responsibility is disgraceful.
