Just catching up with this. Still loads of nonsense but the skating not bad so far.
Glad Jason Gardiner has gone though. Did not like him at all. I know he was meant to be like Craig but with Craig, you know it's an act but with Jason.... he actually is a bitch!

Craig gave constructive criticism, on the whole, whereas Jason was just nasty imo. I watched the first half “live” then decided to watch Dr Who, so watched the second hour later. Good show on the whole, just a bit too long with all the intros

I wish the audience would stop booing the judges. SO rude and not at all entertaining.

Torvill and Dean still have magic in their skates. A beautiful performance tonight.....

Please can they put a quota on the witty quips. Between Scofield, Dean and the voiceover commentator it's way to much. One tonight was something like "You were dancing to the Scissor sisters but you were like twin brothers". ?¿

The person who she was up against was the last minute replacement after Michael Barrymore pulled out, so he didn’t have as much time to practice as others. If she had been up against anyone else I think she might have gone. It’s clear the audience don’t like her.

Even with fewer people dancing (one pull out and one due to illness) the program is still 2 hours, so that means lots of padding and adverts. PS - shouldn’t the thread be called Dancing on Ice 2020! Just noticed!

I'm watching it now and it's the Titanic routine and all I can do is laugh. Every time I hear what is touted as the most romantic song ever all I can hear is French and Saunders.....

I remember the French and Saunders parody as well! Also I never thought it was that good a song- have seen a couple of friends struggle up the aisle to it, as it was a popular one to walk up the aisle to at the time. It’s a really bad one to walk up the aisle to, as it’s very stilted in the timing (someone will know the correct musical term for that). Poor girl was stopping and starting all the way, trying to keep time to the rhythm. (However they have remained happily married for over 20 years)
