I have a confession to make!
I actually rang C5 this morning, to complain about 5USA.
They usually have 3 or 4 episodes of Law & Order on each afternoon, but today there are EIGHT back to back episodes, and NO Murder She Wrote.
All the guy could keep saying was '5USA is a repeats channel'.
I flipping know, but surely we can have some variety.
Rant ends.

Well it's not a repeats channel when they air something for the first time, like The Enemy Within, is it? They don't know what they are doing.

They usually have 3 or 4 episodes of Law & Order on each afternoon, but today there are EIGHT back to back episodes, and NO Murder She Wrote. A local repeat station here does that 3 days per week. They call it a Law & Order "Binge-a-thon."
Even with L&O having over 450 episodes, showing 24 per week they can cycle the entire series in 20 weeks. That is repeating every episode nearly 3 times per year.

What really annoys me about L&O on 5USA is that they show multiple episodes, but not in the right order. Ed and Lennie, followed by Ed and Fontana, followed by Ed and Lennie, followed by Ed and Cassidy, etc, etc.
I'm tellin ya - this channel couldn't find its arse with a map!

Do they go all the way back to the beginning? The pre-McCoy days when Michael Moriarity was Ben Stone Chief Assistant Attorney and his ADA Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks)?
I really liked the early episodes with Chris Noth as Mike Logan when he was partnered with Paul Sorvino as Phil Ceretta.
But there were no women on the show. So they axed Robinette, brought in Jill Hennessey as Clair Kincaid then bumped Dann Florek over be boss at to SVU and brought in S. Epatha as Anita Van Buren.

No. I really wish they'd start from S1 Ep1 and go right the way through, but I have an idea that they don't have the rights anymore.

I really liked Ben Stone. He was confident and very intelligent and seldom emotional. McCoy was good and the staple for most of the series but he was very arrogant, often misogynist, cocky and a real ass hat a lot of the time.
Ben Stone was very professional, proper, and used to often call the foulest of criminals "sir" and I liked that.

I loved S. Epatha. What a name! Is she still going?

From her IMDb page it seems she's been in Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med.
I loved Anita. She really kept the boys in line!
I also have a bit of a thang for Jack McCoy, though looking at pics of Sam Waterston recently - ugh. He's all beardy. Looks more like Santa!

She is the head of the hospital on Chicago MED.
I saw an interview with her once. Her real name is Sharon Epatha Merkerson.
But when she was still and unknown, she decided to use just the initial of her first name and then her full middle name to sound more ethnic, so that she could get more calls from casting directors when they needed an ethnic woman. Sharon Merkerson sounds very white.
She was on a very early episode of Law & Order, playing a cleaning woman in an office building who's son is killed in a gangland slaying.
The producers of L&O really liked her performance and decided to audition her for the role of Anita when they decided to add a woman police boss.
In another early episode Jerry Orbach plays a defense attorney. Then they brought him in to play Lenny Brisco when Paul Sorvino quit.
And Annie Parisse who would later play ADA Alex Borgia first was a guest on L&O as a stripper, who along with her hot head ex boyfriend, killed her sugar daddy rich new boyfriend.

I remember the S. Epatha and Annie Parisse episodes (saw Annie's one a few weeks ago), but don't remember Jerry before he was Lenny.
My absolute beloved was in a couple, too. I doubt any UK people will know his name, but you might - Skipp Sudduth.

I recognize your boyfriend. One of those character actors that is in a gazillion shows but you don't know his name.
