Thursday (30th) at 8.05pm.
Jimmy Doherty takes us around his farm and park, where normally lots of families would be enjoying looking at his exotic animals. I think he's been on programmes with Jamie Oliver. Saw the trailer the other night, will watch it.

He has many unusual animals on his farm, including kangaroos, capybara and meerkats. One meerkat was called Steve McQueen, because he kept escaping. Unfortunately there is also sadness as well as joy, as with the birth of the stillborn lamb. and Ferdinand the capybara had to be euthanized because of a large tumour on his liver. Such is life. Looking forward to next weeks episode.

New series starts on Wednesday (14th) at 8pm. (1/4)
Autumn At Jimmy's Farm
Cameras follow Jimmy and his team, as the seasons turn to autumn. He is best mates with Jamie Oliver, though of the two I prefer Jimmy.

From rounding up escaped turkeys to preparing the farm and park for an inspection, Jimmy and his staff are hard at work. Jensen the wallaby missed his pal Wendy, and was going down hill fast. A chest infection didn't help matters, and unfortunately he had to be euthanized. On a brighter note, Jimmy had great camera footage of the wildlife in the woodland near his home. I'm enjoying this series, at a time when everyone is curtailed in going out, this is delightful.

Just reading through this is seems to be a list of animals being put down. I am not sure 'farms' are the right place for some of these animals - especially those that live in family colonies. The vet bills must be huge.
