Great to see the great Stradivarius win his third Ascot Gold Cup......and the Queen to get a winner yesterday with Tactical. First class coverage with the ITV team. Lets hope the weather relents and the sunshine returns tomorrow.

I stumbled across this at 3.00 yesterday and enjoyed it for the rest of the afternoon. I shall watch it for the rest of the week as it was very nice coverage. I think I saw in the paper today that Stradivarius is racing again but must check nearer the time.
No procession yesterday and no HMQ. If she can be wheeled out for the G7 leaders I don’t see why she can’t enjoy a day at the races. And she owns the racecourse doesn’t she? I’d be there if I were in her shoes! I’m sure she would be safe in the royal box.

She has said she won't be there this year. I think it's a personal choice. Perhaps without Phillip she can't face it this year. I think meeting the G7 Leaders is work and she is managing the work ok, as she did so much on her own anyway, but maybe Ascot is a more personal thing.

Sir Mark Todd, equestrian extraordinaire, has just popped up as a trainer of one of the runners today. Well they don’t have just any old donkey in these races do they, so he must be doing well.
Tasman Bay came second but was leading for a lot of it.

Ascot have said the Queen may attend, they are leaving it up to her. How many more days are there?

Just tomorrow. They did say somewhere online that she was planning to come on Saturday, but it could be a bit wet. If it carries on like this it could well be off!

The Queen has turned up for the last day, looking very happy to be there.
She has a runner in the first who has just paraded with a massive erection!😱🤭
