This "docudrama" embodies just about everything I dislike in a wildlife series. It's dramatised and scripted, often with rather silly story lines, staged and filmed under very unnatural conditions, and has an incessant musical accompaniment. While the animals aren't exactly anthropomorphised, human thoughts and feelings are ascribed to them.
However, I'm not the target audience. It's intended for family viewing, to engage a new generation, and it might succeed in that. The commentary is quite informative, and episodes are fairly short, so don't reqire lengthy concentration and can be useful time fillers.
I've got through 5 of the 8 episodes and will finish it.
