This, as Steve Pemberton says, is a very obscure reference, but talking about this show has reminded me of Inside No9.
In the last series of Inside No9, during the episode 'Misdirection', the magician episode, Whodunnit is referenced! But blink and you'll miss it, as it's vague as...

Shearsmith-Rodney Bewes? No.
Reece says in the podcast to go with the show that when he thinks of Rodney Bewes it's not The Likely Lads but the t-shirt with the bow tie on it (that he wore on Whodunnit, and they all watched while on tour). Pemberton goes on to say it's one of the most obscure references they've used. Bloomin' brilliant though.
