Tommy will receive its UK premiere on UKTV’s Alibi channel on Wednesday October 7th at 9pm.
Tommy follows Abigail “Tommy” Thomas, a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female Chief of Police for Los Angeles. She uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to navigate the social, political, and national security issues that converge with enforcing the law.
The drama series stars Edie Falco, Adelaide Clemens, Joseph Lyle Taylor, Michael Chernus, Olivia Lucy Phillip, Russell G. Jones, Vladimir Caamaño and Thomas Sadoski.
NOTE: CBS cancelled Tommy after one season.

Were most of them HBO? I loved that channel. So many great dramas. Mad as hell when Sky took it.

Nurse Jackie was originally on Showtime. Showtime has an impressive catalog of series, not quite as prolific as HBO but close.  "Dexter" perhaps my favorite Showtime series. I'm actually re-watching 'Dexter' for the umpteenth time. I am on series 4 with John Lithgow being very creepy as the "Trinity Killer," a very, very bad man. |

We don't have Showtime here so I'm not sure what FTA channel Nurse Jackie was on. Channel 4 maybe? But whatever, we only got two series. And the second series ended on a massive cliffhanger!
But luckily we did get The Sopranos and The Wire before Sky jumped in and took HBO.
Actually, that's reminded me of something. HBO had a 'bing-bong' noise they used with their avatar. And every time I heard it at the start of another drama, I automatically started singing, in my head, the theme tune to The Sopranos!
