Thursday (4th) at 8 pm. (1/2)
The actor travels along the rugged West and North coast of Ireland, including visits to the 45m high Mizen bridge and Skelling Islands.
We are certainly visiting a lot of the Uk lately, via C5. I shall be watching as I know nothing about Ireland. Should be interesting.

I will certainly be watching this. I love Ireland but don't know this bit and I could happily listen to Adrian Dunbar for hours even if he was only reading the phone book!

Looking forward to this - Adrian Dunbar is a very congenial host and also a good singer, which we probably won't get to see if this was filmed in lockdown. And of course it's whetting my appetite for the long-awaited Line of Duty series 6!

I thought this was pretty good - well paced with quite a lot of information.

Magnificent scenery, with the sea lashing against the rocks below the Mizer Bridge. Interesting history of it too. The journey to Skellig Island was just as dramatic in the rough sea. Parts of Star Wars was filmed here. 618 steps to the monastery at the top of the island. I couldn't climb 6 never mins 618. Pity there's only one more episode, he's a very interesting presenter.

It was wonderful wasn't it? My only complaint is that the series is too short!

Yes, enjoyed it very much, great scenery, and interesting commentary.

I enjoyed this too. I got the impression AD is quite a serious man. The scenery was wonderful and the commentary very interesting and well delivered. One thing I could have done with was more of the map as I am unfamiliar with the geography of Ireland.

I'm very surprised there were no subtitles on some of it. The Cork accent can be hard to understand, even for other Irish people!

And then a few miles up the road in Donegal, it's utterly different!

I agree, Vicky, not enough episodes.

The scenery was stunning, and although I did know about the Skelligs, which are very famous, I had never heard of the other sights that Adrian visited. What an interesting coastline!

I'm very surprised there were no subtitles on some of it. The Cork accent can be hard to understand, even for other Irish people! My son in law is from Cork and I do find his accent a bit hard to understand sometimes, not helped by my hearing not being what it was and him being very quietly spoken!

We enjoyed these - Nice to see lots of the actual coastline rather than just towns, and very few interviews, just chats with people such as the bridge designer.
We had a long weekend once in Galway on the west coast, and fell in love with the scenery and the unspoilt charm of Ireland. This brought it all back - it was over sixteen years ago, and we had won our trip in a competition.
