Amazon Prime has started showing some really old TV programmes on Amazon Prime from Abbot and Costello, through the likes of The Rifleman and Dark Shadows, to That Girl. Some of them, I remember from when they were shown on TV, others I am not familiar with, but I really want to go back and look at them, just to see. Sometimes I have found myself wondering what it was that I ever liked about some of these really old television programmes.
They are also showing a nice collection of old films which I will probably work my way through.

I remember being a kid and coming home from school and watching Dark Shadows.
I didn't know it was a soap opera. To me and my mates it seemed like a mini Hammer Studios film every day.

Yes, when I first saw it, I definitely didn't think of it as a soap; I probably didn't know what these soaps were, though.
