Has anyone watched this? We quite enjoyed the first episode - second one tomorrow - and found it intriguing.

Yes, very gripping. Plenty of theories at the moment. And sergeant Jones from Midsomer is back! Will definitely keep on watching

Yeah - and he didn't just die of exposure did he, not in 30-40 minutes.
I notice when they first left him there his trousers were still down (and before they drove off and left him, they had to wait at the car quite a while for Julie Hesmondhaig while she was supposedly having a wee) - but when Julie Hesmondhaigh & Laura Fraser went back, the trousers had been pulled up again. At that time there was no phone signal, but when they all 4 went back a second time, Laura Fraser was starting to make a phone call at the same spot with no mention of lack of signal - significant, or a continuity problem?

I thought it was a bit slow but will continue watching. I noticed too that one of the women started to make a phone call at the end , without mentioning there was no signal!

I thought that trouser thing was odd. Maybe someone else came along and pulled them up for some reason. Good watching though, it has me hooked.

I am suspicious of Ade Edmonson (Jullie H's on screen husband). Surely he won't be just a bit part. Ditto Eddie Marsan.

I enjoyed it more than I was expecting to. Some of the scenes are too dark but that's to be expected these days. And some of it is looking fairly predictable so it will be interesting to see what twists they come up with.

I noticed that Nancy's and her husband were very short with each other and he had a black eye. Do you think she did that !

I have watched the first one. I enjoyed it but thought some of the acting was very florid. The friends were not convincing drunks and Jack was just a caricature. But the plot is intriguing. I don't find it as good as Innocent2 though.
Why would Max lose his job if his wife were banged up? You arent responsible for your spouse's crimes are you?I
Jack seemed to be acting like an 18th Century mill owner towards his staff! He cant just sack his aunt for no reason and promote someone from catering over an experienced brewery operative can he?

I think there are many stories to come out, very suspicious of Nancy and her husband. Something is definitely up with those 2. (Otherwise why have Ade Edmondson in it?). Also Jack’s father.

I assumed it was because he is a police officer. I don't know what the rules are but imagine it might be a bit hard for him, especially in a small, seemingly rural area, to do his job if his wife was convicted of manslaughter.

I've been wondering the same about Callum being a policeman in Eastenders and now married to a Mitchell. I thought one had to be squeaky clean and I do know from personal experience that my ex-husband and other family members even had to have family members squeaky clean in order to have the highest level of security clearance for their work. Hmmm... Ex now married to a woman with a criminal son so maybe that's why he's no longer in his job

I have relatives who are prison officers and they are very careful about who they might be mixing with. I thought this was on every night but now discover the next two episodes are on Monday and Tuesday next week. The BBC do have some odd scheduling ideas.
