I watched it. I enjoyed it. Quite dark in places. It's too good to binge watch so it will be one episode per week for me until the four episodes have been shown. I didn't like the female detective or the male one I'm guessing she's "involved with". The others were OK. I can't help wondering if there'll be some sort of twist at the end with regard to the very eccentric/possibly autistic Professor T. Part of me feels sorry for him, the other part thinks there's something rather sinister about him. We'll see.

It's good. I don't know about "slow version" - we seem to have found out as much about characters' personal lives in just the first episode, as took a whole 13-ep series of the original to bring out! (unless of course my memory's playing up).
I thought the casting works quite well. Juliet Aubrey is an interesing choice for Christina. They seem to have gone for look-alikes of the originals to play Dan, Paul, the college Dean, and the Prof's assistant Ingrid.
One oddity, presumably a continuity problem - the Professor's phone at one point was showing apparently a German keyboard, with the "Y" and "Z" in the wrong places for UK.

Juliet Aubrey! I was trying to think of the name of the actress. I really enjoyed it. I think I read a review that he played a similar character as his detective in Death in Paradise. True, but still very enjoyable in a dark way.

I found this very enjoyable (if that’s the right word) Interesting to read that he found the fact he suffered somewhat from OCD made it easier to play the character.

I enjoyed this. I didn’t think it was as good as the original, but not bad at all and far better than I feared it would be! I preferred Frances de la Tour as the mother. The bonkers secretary didn’t have much to do this week and she had quite a large role, so I wonder if that will develop or if they have decided she is not to feature much.

I liked it.
It reminded me a little of Perception (where Eric McCormack was a schizophrenic Psychology professor who helped the FBI)
Frances de la Tour was fab.
Will it do for Cambridge what Morse did for Oxford?

Well I stuck with it but only thought it was OK overall. Nowhere near as good as the original and I think there the stories were given two hours each so character development was much better. It didn’t have enough élan for me.

I tried it and thought I would like it, but somehow I just didn't.
I felt it was just trying to hard and it all felt so contrived.

My thoughts were similar - mildly diverting but not as good as the original. Ben Miller was OK, and I'm another that preferred Frances de la Tour as his mother, but the police side of things I found generally not very convincing.

The police totally got on my nerves; however, I thought Ben Miller, Frances de la Tour and Sarah Woodward were great. So, is there another series to come, or is that it? I would watch another. Do we think he killed his father? If anyone knows the answer to that, I would prefer not to be spoilered, but if anyone is speculating, like me, what do you think? Surely the police would notice a bullet hole in the man who hung himself.

I’ve just watched episode 2 and enjoyed it, too. A sadly downbeat story.

It was sad, wasn't it? But the secretary and the nurse made me laugh.
