Anybody see this last night? It was awful, but worth watching for the sheer awfulness of it. Pink and blue living room with not a comfy seat to be seen. And a pink and blue bedroom with weird plaster chains and a wall adornment made of blond hair.

Yes it's a new series and I loved it. It was kitsch and full of end of the pier humour. The rooms were outrageous but they were what the people asked for and some. Laurence was playing it up big time and everyone was having a laugh.
They didn't do anything structural, all the rooms could be transferred back to beige if the owners wanted to.
It was just good fun, things went wrong, things were more than a bit zany and it certainly wasn't a minimalist grey/beige fiesta, this was colour explosions and as Laurence said this is maximalist.

Yes, it’s a new revamped series, and an “explosion of colour” ! And true, you could have turned the rooms back. The bedroom was a nice pink bed and matching pink wardrobes and all you would need to do is remove the plaster of Paris chains and the very strange Wall Hair , replacing it with a picture.
The living room, it wasn’t the artwork that was the problem, just a total lack of comfort. Hard wooden swinging seat suspended from ceiling and 2 uncomfortable pink bar stools. No comfy seats at all.

I loved it too. I've been trying to persuade MrC that pink and blue go very well together but he's not convinced! Preferred the 'boys' room to Lawrence's!

There were two navy blue sofas at the other end of the living room where the TV was.
I like the TV set on electric fire when it went on standby.
My youngest rented a flat where the TV turned into a landscape painting when it went on stand by and as it was hung on the wall it looked quite good. Apparently it's easy to do if you have the right computer.
The hair art was completely mad, but it might have worked if there was a picture sprayed on to it. It was only hung on a couple of hooks and could be removed very easily. All I kept thinking was - how dusty is that going to get!

Not having seen the original series, I thought I would give this a go. Lawrence was as flamboyant as ever. I quite enjoyed it, though I wouldn't have that hair on my wall. (Kept thinking Cousin Itt, out of the Addams Family). May continue to watch. Didn't like that swing, especially when the all got on it!

Yes I thought the swing would go after a couple of months. Not opposed to the idea and they did have a proper carpenter attach it to the beams. Might be nice in a conservatory if you had the room.
That said hanging chairs are all in again as is rattan.
