I quite enjoyed it! It was very silly and completely unrealistic, I agree. But I just put my DiP hat on and take no notice.

I enjoyed it too even though some of it was preposterous. I just thought that leaving one or two lose ends would be useful for the next series but leaving everything up in the air was pants.

I was waiting for this to be on Acorn but it never was. Odd. I shall have to suffer the adverts.

Never realised that the village ( town? ) that this is set in was beside the sea, I’m sure it’s never been mentioned before? Maybe we can have some nice beach scenes in future episodes. It’s good seeing the constant sunshine whilst it’s miserable winter here.

Wow, Catherine from DiP is quite simply a shockingly bad actress. Actually this whole series is littered with bad acting. Not the main roles but the others are just so bad.
I mean bad enough for you to do a double take. It's a shame. Surely if you only have a few lines they can coach you to get it right. You can almost see the wheels turning.

She looked very glamorous I thought, compared to DIP! I cannot abide the rich couple, their acting is atrocious. Now I saw her on stage a few years ago in a proper play (I think it might have been Shaw) and she was really good so I don’t know what’s happened to make her this bad. I don’t think Sally Lindsey (whom I like) is up to much either, she seems to recite her lines with little actual acting! But despite all that I still find it a pleasant enough way to pass the time!

It’s a strange one about Sally Lindsay. She was great in Corrie and I found her very believable, but there is something very, umm, stilted? about her in this. I think she wrote it so is it because she’s reciting something that came from within already? I just can’t put my finger on it. Same with when she presented Tenable and Pointless, just spoke like she was reading (I know she was, but I expect better from an actress).
And I, too, think that the rich couple are awful. I didn’t like her in Only Fools, and I think he was the in the ‘Confessions’ films wasn’t he?

Yes, hard to believe when you you at him now but Robin Askwith was in all the Confessions films. Just caught up with this last night - I find it hard to believe that the “treasure” was still in the same place in the dressing room after what, 40 years? No one ever cleared anything up? Mind you it’s not like the rest is in any way believable, but it is a nice bit of sunshine while the wind and the rain was howling around outside
