Although technically it's Irish-Canadian-Flemish Noir. It's the new BBC 4 'foreign drama'. Just watching the second one now. It's pretty good! It's a terrorist plot wrapped in diamond smuggling with Irish drug smuggling and there's an American actor that looks familiar but he has put on a lot of weight since I last saw him (and lost his hair!) so I'm struggling.

Binged the whole lot and it's very good! There's an opening for a second series so hopefully there will be one.

I've only seen the first two episodes which i enjoyed. Formulaic but just the job for relaxing on a Saturday evening. Interesting to see Angeline Ball who I remember from The Commitments. She was in something else more recently but I can't remember what, just that her role was recast for the second series presumably because she wasn't available.

It took me while to work out where I'd seen her before! Forgot how long ago that film was made! I would agree that the first two are formulaic but it turns into a really good drama with some surprising twists.

Where does it fit on the Squeamishness Scale 1-10?

Oh, about 2 or 3. There's one uncomfortable scene at the start and then that's pretty much it.

I've watched the first 2 episodes now and am enjoying it.
Keeping Faith, in which she played the criminal boss of a haulage firm.

I’m enjoying this as well, but just wish the lead detective was a bit less snitty. However, on the Belgian side I am on the look out for known actors and so far have two. Kevin from Code 37 and Annaliese from Professor T. This could be a shot game.

Still enjoying this, well the story is good, but I am not very impressed with the acting which I think is very flat. The Irish detective just seems bored with the whole process to me.
(I’ve also noticed no one is using the Dutch Reach in Antwerp. I know it’s in Belgium, but it’s next door, they speak Flemish and you would think they would share the same approach to road safety. 😃😃.)
