Just watched it. If you like a big side order of ham with your drama it's OK. It got better as it went on - despite Vicky McLure and Adrian Lester coming across a bit am-dram - and the actor playing Andy was very good I thought.
Re Adrian Lester, he is showing as appearing in four episodes on IMDB, which could be flashbacks of course, but it's also worth remembering that all Lana saw was the severed arm of a black man and there was three black men by the van when it went pop.

Does anyone remember a series years ago which I think was called Danger UXB, and was about an Army bomb disposal unit? I think it starred Anthony Andrews as the commanding officer. Have a feeling he got blown up in the final episode. That was a huge favourite of my parents, they adored it. I saw quite a few of them. I think my mother rather fancied AA! I think he was killed too but not sure. I enjoyed the first half hour of this but then it seemed to go a bit slack. The explosion wasn’t a surprise to me, as soon as he spotted the van I knew that would be it. Other Jed shocks have come out of the blue so this was less than gripping. I shall stick with it though. (I too noticed the close up of the tattoo and thought aha, someone is going to be identified soon!) |

We enjoyed that more than The Responder. We aren't going to see that one anymore.

Is anyone still watching this? I've tried with it for two and a half episodes but I gave up and switched off halfway through tonight because I realised I was finding it boring and I really don't like any of the characters.

Didn't bother this evening. I'm instead watching Red Notice on Netflix. It's fairly cheesy, bordering on lousy, but at least the makers are not expecting me to come back for another next week. And Gal Gadot is in it.  |

I am still watching and found it gripping. The characters are not very pleasant but that often seems to be the case nowadays.

The thing I most disliked about it is the whole macho culture atmosphere that pervades it with Lana always acting as one of the lads. I'm sure that is very true to life and probably goes with the awful job they have to do but I find it boring at best and unpleasant at worst, especially the constant casual use of bad language. I don't want it dished up to me as entertainment.

I started watching episode 2 then realised I didn’t care about it at all, so abandoned ship, as I did with The Responder.

We aren't being very well served by the latest batch of dramas are we? I agree. The beeb have been particularly woeful. Bad language seems a prerequisite in dramas these days and most of it is unnecessary. Poorly drawn characters and cliched plot lines seem the rule sadly. |
