The main character was miscast, in my opinion, otherwise I really enjoyed it. Every time the main character talks...in my head I hear Michael Caine. |

As usual I’m getting to the end of episodes saying Who? What? Why? I’m putting my latest puzzlement under a spoiler. If anyone can explain I will be very grateful  {SPOILER:Click to Show}
In the last couple of minutes tonight, a young man with curly hair, apparently on holiday in a hotel somewhere, was shot when he opened the door. There seemed to be a young woman in the background. Who on earth were they?? |

Who on earth were they?? He was the spy/thug/underling, presumably working for the Americans, charged with keeping the kidnapped scientist imprisoned, he played chess with him, while he was being held in Beirut. (I think!) |

Final episode tonight. I've enjoyed it - for the most part.
But... those American accents. Straight out of the generic accent drawer.
It's a shame that the Americans weren't genuine Americans. Not from a PC perspective. It's so that they sound real, and not British or Irish actors putting it on.

That's not how the book ends! Well, who thought it would be…. very obviously set up for another series - which I would like to see I enjoyed it, but I’m still not sure I quite understood everything!  |

Did anyone else think Jean looked more and more like Lady Penelope as the series went on?
I read this book many years ago and lots of it didn’t ring any bells with me! Was the Kennedy stuff in it even?
