The new quiz hosted by Lee Mack
i think he makes a good host, interacting with the contestants. I went out at about 35%, but I did get the final 1% question.
My peeve is this: a lot of the questions hinge upon comparing three or four images to see a pattern or the odd one out. Viewers get a quick look at the pictures and then they shrink down to the bottom of the screen and we’re left looking at the contestants while they think. Good luck answering the question if you didn’t manage it in that first flash.

Exactly my problem Beth Why did we have to look at umpteen faces? I got some of the answers straightaway, but for the others I would have liked to see what I was supposed to be solving I enjoyed the programme, I like that sort of puzzle, dingbats etc

I enjoyed it too. Didn’t get the 1% question, also couple of others but can’t remember which % they were. Picture ones were just about clear at bottom of my screen but would have preferred them more visible.. Thought Lee was a good host, picked some good people to chat to. Nice change from actual quiz programmes which depend on knowledge - or good guesswork!

My exact thought too. At least you get plenty of time to look at pictures on Pointless. But, other than that, good show

I haven’t seen it, but after reading the comments I’ll give it a miss. What’s the point of putting it on TV if the viewers don’t get long enough to look at the pictures and play along? This type of thing makes me irrationally cross. The TV companies need to remember who the programmes are meant for. If everyone turns off because of this they won’t keep the programme on air long (and it will serve them right!)

Well, I wouldn't go that far. Yes, it was annoying but other than that, it's a good format. I've seen other, similar complaints so with any luck the producers will take note.
I remember when the very same thing was raised for Pointless, Xander mentioned it, and ever since, any picture rounds are shown for a good few seconds before moving over to the competitors

I agree. Quiz shows do change things if enough people complain.

Wasn’t there a quiz on years ago that was similar to this were there were 100 contestants and they were whittled down to one ? I think it might even have been called something like One in a Hundred. Can’t remember who presented it but I’m almost certain it was on on a Saturday night?

Yes there was, but it was general knowledge, and no comic bits. They just had to answer the questions until there was just 1 person left. Think it was called 100 to 1 or similar. Can’t remember host, might have been Dale Winton? Or possibly Philip Schofield? Someone who was doing other quiz shows around that time.

It was one of the BBC lottery shows and I’m pretty sure Nick Knowles was the host.

Yep, that was it. I thought of it during the night. 100 to One and Nick Knowleswas presenter.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Lee Mack did a good job as host. Good win, too.

I saw this on Gogglebox and it looked quite good to me. I don’t usually watch quiz shows but have set the recorder to catch the series.
