I've finished seasons 1 & 2 of this Irish family drama, which is quite good I thought. A third season has been confirmed.
In season 1 a senior member of the Ahern family dies in what may or may not have been an accident. It turns out that nearly all other family members have a reason to hate him, so there are plenty of people suspected of his murder. Dervla Kirwan stars as his widow. The Ahern family tree is pretty complicated so throughout I struggled to get my head around all the offspring/sibling/(step-)parent/(ex-)spouse/(ex-)friend relationships, and in one or two cases I never did work out who they were. Season 2 centres on the arrival of a new character who may or may not be another member of the Ahern family. S2 assumes a fair bit of knowledge of the first season so you need to have watched S1 first, and if that was some time ago there's a useful reminder here of the characters plus a recap of the S1 finale (for which reason I'll put it behind a spoiler) -
