I've watched both seasons of this 2016-2018 Scandi Noir crime drama series (in Swedish, with English subtitles), and it's very good. There are 10 episodes per season, available on STV Player for only another couple of months, until 31 July 2022.
It's a bit different in that the leading character isn't a detective (yet), she's a young student at a police college. In season 1, as part of her studies she's given an assignment to look at a 25-year-old unsolved murder case. She quickly discovers that her deceased father, who had been a detective, worked on this same case, so her interest becomes more than purely academic. The other and very different main character is a homeless man who is investigating a present-day, unconnected, case. You suspect there's more to him than just being an average down-and-out. The two find they are able to help each other in their respective investigations.
The second season has the same format, with the same two principal characters investigating two new and unconnected murders.
