Lovely atmosphere at the opening match and well attended.
The skills on show are great.
Not sure why they went to VAR but someone said perhaps the goal mouth tech was not working and they wanted to check?

Could be. It did look obviously over the line so if the GL tech didn't register it would need looking at. Hope they get it fixed soon.

I love the way the womans matches have next to no injury time. This is because, if they fall over, the players simply get up.
No rolling around clutching ankles that have been brushed against a blade of grass and having a 5 minute sit down....
