This was on last night but I missed it so caught it on the iPlayer. It was a film of a stage performance. This play has been around for a number of years and concerns a double act who must decide whether to stage the straight man’s serious play or a sort of homage to Morecambe and Wise. At each performance there was a surprise guest star, and in this it was Tom Hiddleston. Yes please!!!!
It isn’t riotously funny but it is very enjoyable and rather charming. Everyone played their parts well and it is just right for this time of year.
