Anyone watching this? It is on nightly this week at 9.00 but I am behind the live airings.
Set in Australia it stars Jo Joyner as a British woman whose Aussie, mega rich husband (Peter O’Brien from Neighbours) goes missing whilst surfing and is presumed lost at sea (shades of Mick Carter in EE). I’m quite enjoying it but have only just started episode 2. But her neighbour Dan (who I reckon is a wrong’un) is played by David Berry who was James Bligh in A Place To Call Home of beloved memory.

I got as far as episode 2 and stopped. Just went off it. I felt that everyone was naff and a bit of a caricature and also that I'd seen something similar before.
Whether that was the script or the acting, I couldn't say. Just got to a point where I wasn't bothered.

Saw the first episode, then I was busy the next night, and was still at Mum’s so couldn’t record. Will be interested to see how it comes out, but am not bothered to try and catch up.

I saved it up then watched it all. I thought it was OK but I wouldn't rave about it. I found the villain obvious from the minute we first saw him, and I would have expected Jo Joyner's character to as well! As a result the various red herrings were never convincing. I liked that they fed us a clue or two each episode - so that we knew a bit more than the disappeared husband's family or the police did - rather than store everything up till the end.
There was another Aussie drama a few months ago based on a similar ocean-related sudden disappearance. It was a gender reversal in that it was a mother who never returned from her daily morning swim, and was titled 'Significant Others' - don't know if we'll ever get that in the UK.
