I saw the first series of this when it was on Pick, I believe, and it scared the **** out of me but it was great imho. A serial killer (James Purefoy) escapes from prison and is sought by FBI agent Kevin Bacon. I cannot remember all the details, well hardly any really, but there is history between these two, and the charismatic (if you like that sort of thing) Purefoy is abetted by his following in quite bonkers ways. It was really gripping. I’ve been waiting for it to be free on Amazon but will have to watch series 1 again to refresh my memory. Hopefully second time round it won’t be so startling.

I watched the first three yesterday and it didn’t seem all that scary, so maybe I misremembered or it’s because I had seen it before. It is very gory though.

I’ve finished it!!! Thank goodness for that. I enjoyed it despite the gore but it is at its best in series 1 and 2. They widen it out a lot and it gets a bit confusing and even more improbable. However the interplay between Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy is great stuff. It obviously leaves with an intention for series 4 but it was cancelled, but it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.
