This programme was very enjoyable. However the diction was a bit off in some performances!

Just catching up. That lass from Les Mis was amazing! Worth the price of admission.
Jason Mountford seems to have developed an Irish accent for his song!
I thought Joanne Clifton was a bit frantic. Shrek is coming to Wimbledon later this year but it might be a bit raucous for me, and the theatre group. Heathers is coming too so I shall look at this little section about it with interest. That might be a bit calmer. Both shows did really well in the West End. We’re also getting Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but I don’t fancy that.

I gave up on it when it started to get just noisy rather than tuneful (round about when Shrek appeared!)

It’s back! And it’s not a repeat. Apparently it is now an annual showcase of what’s on, according to the RT at least. Saturday 27 January at 7.50.

There is a good review of this show which appeared on my phone. The reviewer said that it is better than last year. I am looking forward to seeing it on Saturday evening on BBC1.

I shall be watching as I got two useful tips last year, namely do go to Heathers and don’t bother with Shrek!

I enjoyed that. I thought Nicole Scherzinger would have sung something from Sunset Boulevard. I could not think who "King George" was but knew I had seen him sometime. It was Daniel Boys who was in the programme to find Joseph when Lee Mead won.

I’m still to finish but enjoyed it so far. I too was amazed Nicole S didn’t sing a note from Sunset! Just walked on, basked in the applause and went off! We didn’t even get a little video. I wanted to see that but the ticket prices for these Big Name shows are just astronomical, but I liked the idea of a woman like her playing the lead rather than the usual casting.
I checked out the Wizard of Oz tour and it’s in Wimbledon in March. Now it must be a late addition because they haven’t sold many seats (no pensioner discount!!!) and I have never seen it scheduled before, and I am on these sites at least weekly.
I am kicking myself for not seeing Hadestown or the Sheffield show when they were on at the National but think they were fairly short runs. I didn’t much go for the Hadestown excerpt but apparently it is a cracking show. So I’ve got quite a few I need to book. I must make economies elsewhere I think.

Just finished the show, it was very good. I think they picked a very good host in Jason. I booked Wizard of Oz at Wimbledon and had already read good reviews for Cruel Intentions : The 90s musical, so booked that too. Then it popped up on the show! I did read that The Other Palace theatre was where Heathers the Musical started out, and that was enjoyable, so I hope this is all right too. I may have to defer the remaining bookings until next month as I’m getting carried away now.
