Just finished watching tonight's episode. Really enjoying it.

Very creepy isn’t it! And appears to have nothing to do with the Marple version that ITV did a few years ago. Way way better than that, can’t wait for the final episode!

It's much closer to the book than the Marple version. I really enjoyed it.

I’m enjoying everything about it, except for Frankie’s clipped accent. I shall watch the finale this afternoon I think.

I'm so tempted to do that too, but I won't as my man is at work and the plan is to watch it tomorrow as we're out quizzing tonight. Mind you, I could watch it and not tell him and then watch it again

I'm loving it too. Hope we have some more shows from Britbox. I agree, it's quite creepy, especially the man in the bowler hat.

Bowler hat man has an accent.
I saw one version years ago and know who Evans is but no idea of the rest of the story. I went to sleep in the last 15 minutes or so yesterday so I have watched it on iPlayer to catch up.

Same here, I know who Evans is, but can’t remember how the book or any of the versions go.

It's not my favourite book of hers but it is one of my favourite twists.

Just in passing… which is your favourite book of hers, Miranda? I’m just thinking about what I’d pick - difficult choice Really looking forward to the final episode tonight, but wishing at the same time that there was more to come

Oh lor.... that is a tricky one. Probably The Murder of Roger Ackroyd or Five Little Pigs. Endless Night is the creepiest one. Only read it once.

Not sure I’ve read Endless Night… and probably won’t! First one I read was 4.50 from Paddington, when I was a teenager, xx years ago and I still have a soft spot for that one I hope she would have enjoyed the way this one is being televised One reviewer has said Lucy Boynton’s performance compares very favourably to Margaret Lockwood in The Lady Vanishes. High praise.

I like that one as well. I read it quite young.
I don't know Agatha would have liked this film version as she wrote it quite young so there's more humour in her story. It's a bit more Boys Own Adventure in style whereas it's filmed much darker in tone.
My favourite character in this version is Frankie's mother!

My favourite character turned out to be Frankie. I didn't like her at first but she definitely grew on me. The staging of the accident and the aftermath was very funny I thought.

I liked her too. But then I liked her in the book and the film version was pretty close to what I had in my imagination. Bobby wasn't quite right but you can't have everything.
