This is a new series about an FBI agent in Georgia. He is dyslexic and grew up in a children's home. The first plot was really interesting and he's a good actor. Some of the others not so much but it is enjoyable.

I’ve read some of the Will Trent books and quite enjoyed them. Hopefully this will come to Freeview.

I didn't realise there were books! Who is the author?

I'm really enjoying this! Nice relationship between the two leads and the backstory is building up well.

I just looked on IMDB and from the pix they have changed the racial balance of the books quite significantly, and given one character’s absence, I think a big relationship has been ditched as well. (I found Angie a loathsome character in the books.)

She's quite sympathetic in this. She's not a nice person, she's quite inconsiderate and selfish. But she's also quite self-aware which I think takes the edge off her character.
What was the racial balance in the books? Have to admit, I was wondering about a black woman being in a position of authority in Georgia.

The main characters are all white as far as I recall. I had imagined Will was black but he is described as a tall, blonde white guy. The boss (Amanda?) is a petite white woman who is absolutely horrible to Will. I’m not sure about his partner though I don’t think she is ever referred to as black. She used to write a previous (and I think better) crime series about a doctor called Sara. That finished and she moved Sara to a city hospital and she is Will’s romantic interest, much to Angie’s displeasure.

Ah! I see. I think the casting for Will works though. For Amanda, not so much. Which is odd as she was brilliant in The Wire but her acting in this is nowhere near the same standard. The actor playing the partner is good.
