Anyone watch this? It’s on Sunday at 9.00 but all the episodes are now on ITVX.
It’s about an A&E doctor facing an investigation into the death of a patient after a hectic shift. She obviously has secrets and the junior doctor who was supposed to be treating the patient is a piece of work. I found this really involving. It’s like Casualty meets Line of Duty, 😂😂. I think it’s from Jed Mercurio’s production company and written by a woman who used to be a doctor. I’m quite tempted to watch ahead but then there are the adverts of course.

I also got drawn into it and have watched ahead (the whole thing). Again, as with 'Redemption', there were surprisingly few adverts on ITVX, just the odd one or two for other ITVX series - so maybe don't get put off on that account!

I was disappointed. What started as an interesting examination into whether or not malpractice has taken place got silly {SPOILER:Click to Show}She altered the note, so suddenly it is not simple malpractice but goodness knows what. Then she's on drugs. Then, where I totally lost belief in it, she just happens to accidentally knock him under a car! It's like the writer kept worrying we were getting board and upped the anti.

I watched the first episode on Sunday and thought it was very good. I imagine (since I'm not in the medical profession but have experienced it from the other side) that it caught very well the frenetic working conditions in A&E and the constant dilemma the staff face. I see it is written by a former A&E doctor. I didn't recognise any of the cast but thought the acting by all of them was superb. I am resisting the temptation to binge watch.

I'm still enjoying it too although I really dislike the leading character. In fact, none of them are particularly likeable.

I find her totally unlikeable too It won’t surprise me at all to find she’s guilty and we are being led up several garden paths!

They haven’t yet clarified why she changed the diagnosis from accidental to deliberate overdose. Yet she she freely admitted she changed it.

They haven’t yet clarified why she changed the diagnosis from accidental to deliberate overdose. Yet she she freely admitted she changed it. She was questioned about that at the first interview with the investigating pair. She said it was because the patient wouldn't be offered any psychiatric help if the overdose was classified as accidental. The man who knows her confirmed that that was definitely the case.

They did say something about it, something like if she put the overdose was accidental then she would get a psychiatric visit, that she wouldn’t get if she left it at accidental overdose. The investigator seemed to accept this.

Lucinda gets worse and worse. Horrible woman! The moment I saw the little girl playing under the bed I knew what the outcome would be.

I wouldn’t want to have to go to that A&E… none of her colleagues can see the state she’s in
Doesn’t she feel any responsibility for what she’s been doing?

Yes it was interesting that Dr Tait commented immediately on the state Lucinda was in yet her colleagues cannot spot she is as high as a kite half the time, coming down/ totally strung out the other half, 😂😂.
