Anyone given this a try? It's a decent idea for a comedy and the cast are doing their best, but sadly the script very rarely hits the spot, imo.
With a sharper writing team it could do well and Catherine Tate is certainly a joy as the rogue Princess Georgiana, but she needs better material to work with. The dense Lady in Waiting is wasted and only gets a few lines but the Australian PA is good as is the young male assistant (with the tiny hands).

Unlike many in the papers and on Twitter I actually enjoyed it! I needed a laugh and it did the trick.

I'm not a fan of Catherine Tate anyway. Best thing she ever did (in my opinion) was Doctor Who. Hate the trailer, will not watch it.

I agree Couldn’t see anything amusing in her ‘bovvered’ era, but I am apparently in a minority as she was introduced on the Patrick Kielty show as ‘very close to becoming a national treasure’ Seemed a nice person on there, but I won’t be trying her show |

Now I’m not usually one mute the telly for anything, but the ad for me gets me reaching for the control every time it’s (still) on. Might have a look late at night when MrC has gone to bed though.

I agree with everyone who disliked the trailer, the first time I saw it or should I say heard it , I thought that’s not for me!

I thought the trailer had been dropped, but it was shown again last night.
I doubt there will be a second series.
