Anyone watching this? It started on Monday with part two last night and the rest next week. It concerns the removal of medical care from a very sick child and the battle between the parents and the hospital.
The parents are played by Sharon Hogan and Michael Sheen. Unlike a lot of the cases we read about, the child in this story is about 11.
I have only seen the first episode, and didn’t expect to like it, but found it well done and quite matter of fact, rather than displaying very heightened emotion. The cast performed it very well.

I'm watching, appreciatively. Because of the subject I don't think anyone could say they enjoy it exactly. Sharon Horgan says in the RT she can't watch it, and uses the word brutal. It is well done..

Anyone watch this? Harrowing and brilliant in equal parts, it told the story of a child with a life limiting condition and her parents battle to continue life support after she had suffered brain damage.
The entire cast were excellent and the script was great.
The actress playing the often neglected older sibling was wonderful.

Sorry about creating a second thread. For some reason I am rubbish at the 'search' function.

Finished this yesterday. I thought it was excellent. Obviously it was very sad and highly charged but also they didn’t make it overwrought, and the acting was of course marvellous.

I agree, excellent.
The bits that stay in my mind from the final episode are - the parents in a corridor, unable to choose what they will do with their child after her life support systems have been switched off, and having to rely on their elder daughter to make the decision for them. Then during the girl's final moments, with hardly any dialogue, saying their goodbyes as hospital staff (mostly off-camera) disconnect equipment ready to wheel her next door for the transplant procedure.
