Anyone catch this? I saw episode 1 yesterday; it runs nightly until Friday.
This is another original C5 drama, and again set in Australia. Is C5 owned by Australians because they seem very keen in filming there. It stars Danny Dyer, which is hysterical in itself, and has two longtime friends and their families meeting for their annual holiday, this time at the richer ones opulent new house in the middle of nowhere. Of course there are relationship intrigues within the groups but also bush fires!!!!🔥
Thus seems almost a direct copy of The Holiday from a while ago with Jill Halfpenny and various friends in an opulent villa……. I think this will be funny to watch but enjoyable in a “bad drama” way. DD played his character exactly like Mick from EE.

I've watched ep. 1. So far I think it's marginally better than the derogatory write-up in the RT suggested, but a bit intense and melodramatic. C5 is ultimately owned by Paramount in the States, but through a subsidiary "Paramount Networks UK & Australia" which does suggest a strong Aussie connection.
(I didn't think much of last week's C5 daily drama 'Blindspot' - found it greatly over-simplified and naive, and the acting leaving a lot to be desired.)

I agree Blindspot wasn’t the best, but it was watchable I thought. The heroine was a very aggressive, and incredibly rude character but it was refreshing to see a wheelchair user taking the lead role and being extremely active. I have a soft spot for Ross Kemp after EE but I’m sure the more impartial observer found his performance wooden.
