It's very compelling isn't it?

Anyone else feel that the final episode was a bit rushed?

I thought it was good. A good ending, but I need a second series so that we find out about Colman and his birth mother and Aiofe's daughter (if she was her daughter).

Aoife’s “daughter” (not her daughter) was the woman who was arrested at the lecture event who Colman had to chase through the building.
it would be good to hear if Colman found his birth mother, but the ending seemed complete, so I’m not sure we will.

Ah, thank you. I didn't twig that was her "daughter".

I completely missed that connection.
I enjoyed it on the whole. There was a bit of a rush to get all the explanations in, I agree.

I didn't recognise Lesley and was a bit annoyed as I thought they had introduced a completely new character as the murderer at the last minute. As it is, I am still not sure how Coleman came to the conclusion that she had killed Father Percy. Where was the evidence?

Lesley was the contact in Coyle's phone that he phoned on the night of Fr Percy's death, who just happened to be sitting feet away from Colman when he rang the number. There wasn't any concrete evidence, though her doing a runner when challenged and not denying it when she was caught would help!
So many questions! When Aoife arose from her catatonic state in the convent, didn't anyone know or take care of her? Where has she been in the meantime? She actually did cause Fr Percy's death, didn't she, though he wasn't dead when she left him and Lesley finished him off, is that it? Having entered another catatonic state because of the shock of seeing Lorna's box of documents, she then woke up, broke out of the wall and then went up to the attic and died? Why? LEaving aside the ridiculousness of Lorna walling her up in the first place of course.
Lorna's treatment by the doctor in the primary school was sadly all too believable.
This was a powerful story but, possibly because of editing to fit time constraints, difficult to follow, and the jumping around in time frames that is such a feature of drama these days didn't help. If I can I'll watch the whole thing again as I'm sure events would fall into place on a second viewing.

Definitely worth watching again, I feel.
