Saw this at Richmond yesterday with the theatre group. The place was rammed and it’s all but sold out for every performance, the AC effect!
I only recognised two of the cast, David Yelland as the judge and the chap who played Sasha in Holby as the doctor (well I didn’t recognise him as I didn’t watch it but someone told me, 😂). It was very much an ensemble piece. It was directed by Lucy Bailey who created Witness for the Prosecution at County Hall which was excellent and has run for six years. This certainly wasn’t as good as that but it was still an effective production, and we have seen some very creaky AC productions believe you me. We were way back and could hear most of it, so 👍, and I thought it looked quite stylish. The ending was rather graphic!
On the whole the audience gave it a very warm reception. I enjoyed it but some near me were muttering “boring” and “slow” but I think that’s a bit harsh. It was a nice outing imo.
