...I just wondered if any other POV-ers ever eat and use the board at the same time, as I am currently doing (a lunch which befits my name, ie Cheese and Crackers*** plus a Cup-of-Soup. While being very careful to avoid spillage of beverages/foodstuffs onto the computer keyboard...
(***PS Miranda, how can I graduate to the next level? )

Me. Being long term sick, and less mobile, I often do things like that. This morning, I was doing the board, and making up my week's medication with 10 different medications, at the same time. I only lost track once. I now have it well organised, though. Lunchtime, today, I was eating and doing the board at the same time.

OK, I'll be 'noisy', you might get fed up with me though
Derek - you have to take several meds as well? It's a bore, isn't it *rolls eyes* It does help having one of those pill boxes with the days of the week printed on each little 'compartment'...
I'm not going to have my first afternoon snack while using computer, it's a satsuma thingy and there's too much juice, so not going to risk it!

Yes, it is frustrating. And, it doesn't include my inhalers. I have set up automatic reminders with one of my smart devices, but it is getting to the point where I acknowledge the reminder, and promptly forget to take the medication. The pill boxes are great, though. I can see when I have forgotten to take my medication. And, I have just got a reminder, now. So, I am off to take my afternoon medication.

I do that as well. In the middle of doing something, turn off the reminder, go back to what I was doing and totally forget to take the meds.

Miranda - it's funny you should say that, because I was supposed to take one med at 5:30 and then couldn't recall whether I'd taken it or not Still keeping to the irritating hospital timetable, used to take all mine in one go, before bed, hope to resume normal service soon so life will become easier! For now, bit of a 'Goldfish Girl' (might be menopausal brain fog??)
Going back to edibles, next up is a Tesco Express reduced-to-clear egg and ham sandwich, all ready on the plate with a few plum tomatoes. I might risk that one

Yes, I usually eat my breakfast while online. I use a tablet these days, so it perches easily on the kitchen table. And like you and Derek, I take several pills a day. I also have one of those pill sorters. I do mine on Saturday evenings.
I also do the same each evening for the two hours before I go bed and have a bowl of cereal while I browse t’internet.

A bowl of cereal? What about the milk risk factor?
I did eat the rest of my Tesco sarnie while online doing something or the other earlier, but the watermelon chunks were, again, just too juicy ...

I push the screen back a bit and I don’t overfill my spoon! Any splashes are more likely to land on my lap and the occasional splatter that hits the screen is quickly dealt with 🤪

Wotcha Cake, seems only a handful of peeps on this thread, but never mind... Good tip you posted to protect the tech I'll bear it in mind as I eat the porridge I'm having for lunch..it's *ahem* rather out-of-date but I don't think it'll kill me

Just came up with a clever plan to keep keyboard free of mucky fingers: have sliced my rye bread and cheese into bite-size chunks so I can pick up with my left hand...and therefore use keyboard with my 'dominant' right!
Was looking at the BT site after convo in Green Room about them this morn, but there was rather Too Much Information for my recovering brain, so decided to hang out here instead...
