Did anyone catch this, it’s in the 9.00 Saturday “foreign” slot on BBC4.
Set in an Australian bush town, a young priest shoots down five members of his congregation and is then killed by the police. There are rumours he was a paedophile. A year later a life-weary journalist is sent to write a piece on how the town is faring, but of course he discovers more…. And we see flashbacks of the priest’s story too.
There are only four episodes and the first two were really good. Apparently there are three books based in the journalist so maybe there will be more. I can find outback dramas a bit tedious but this was interesting and well made.

I watched the first 2 episodes and then immediately had to binge the other 2 on iPlayer. I thought it was really good, but then I do like outback dramas (in fact most things set in small remote communities - currently enjoying Dark Winds (Alibi) centred on Navajo reservation police in New Mexico). I'd definitely watch another investigation by this journalist if they make any more.

Just finished this and must say I thought it was really good. They tied up all the various strands of the story most satisfactorily.
