Watching the late afternoon game between Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans. The announcer said Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers and his wife have 9 children. Blimey!
That reminds me of Grouch Marx who - when he encountered a man with 10 children said "Sir, I love a good cigar, but occasionally I take it out of my mouth."

Miranda I saw you posted earlier that you cant see many games live because they are on subscription TV. This link here is to all 32 teams and their local radio affiliates. I know its not as good as watching live, but you can click on any team and a list of a dozen or so local radio affiliates will come up and you can listen to the games live on free radio stream on your PC or mobile phone. Sometimes you have to click through a few of the links to see which one is carrying the game that week but its a way to hear any of the weekly games live. freefootballradio.com/nfl.htmlUsually these same radio stations will carry sports talk radio 24 hours a day and you can hear them discussing the team, the most recent game during the week too.

Oh thanks mate! But I do that quite often, depending on where the Bears are playing. If it's an afternoon game on the East Coast, I can listen. If it's not then the time difference makes it really tricky. I'm usually asleep by the end of the first quarter!

Unfortunately for you the Bears play very few noon games (my time) this season which I think its 6 pm for you?
Lots of late afternoon and evening game times this season.

I really like the Bears radio announcers. I would love to mute the TV announcers and listen to the radio broadcast while I watched on TV. Unfortunately the radio feed is about 4 seconds ahead of the HDTV feed for some reason. So they are always describing something that hasn't happed yet on TV.

Some interesting results. Lions beat the Eagles, the Buccaneers lose by a point after missing a field goal in the dying seconds, so the Giants win with Daniel Jones. The shock of the day has to be Miami losing by less than 30 points.

Interesting week indeed. Somewhat surprised at how well the Saints played without Drew Brees. Especially on the road in Seattle one of the toughest stadiums for visitors.
Nice to see Teddy Bridgewater have a good game after not really playing since 2015 when he suffered a terrible knee injury.
So far in the early season the Cowboys look to be the team to beat in the NFC and the Patriots (blech) in the AFC.
The Chiefs can definitely put up points but their defense is still iffy.

Just watched the highlights of the Bucs game. So that missed FG added to the two missed points basically lost the game for them. I hope the kicker doesn't live in Tampa. He won't be able to go out all week!

Did the Saints use their running game more this week? It's hard to tell from highlights but they seemed to use it a lot.
