It was their alternate uniform. Nice, isn't it? NO! At first I had to double check I was watching the right game. And then it just distracted me all the way through. The Packers wear yellow and green, as far as I'm concerned.

Yes I think Teddy threw for less than 200 yards.
When you have Alvin Kamara may as well turn the game over to him. With backs like Kamara who are great runners and receivers passing stats can often be deceiving because the QB tosses them a swing pass behind the line of scrimmage and then they run 80 yard with it and on the stats sheet the next day the QB gets credit for an 80 yard pass.

Amanda have you seen the uniforms the Bears are going to wear a few times this season for the 100 year anniversary?
Throw backs to the uniforms the Bears wore in the leather helmet days.

It's one thing I don't like about statistics in the NFL; often they give you a false impression of what is going on, and can be abused by some in the media (e.g. Skip Bayless loves reading false impressions into statistics, especially when it comes to the Cowboys).

It seems that the Bears only started using a Bear Logo in the 1940s. They hadn't used one since they were bought from the Staleys by George Halas. There might be something in the YouTube video on the previous page.

I watched it! Very interesting how much changed for all the teams. And how some teams have never had a loyalty to a geographic area but have always chased the money. *cough* Raiders *cough*

A lot of stuff related to uniforms didn't start until after games - college and pro - were broadcast on TV in the 1950s. On old black and white TV with limited camera angles they needed to start designing uniforms that were more unique visually so that for the viewers it didn't just look like 22 random blokes out on the pitch. So they started with one team wearing white jerseys and the other dark, larger numbers, then came names on the back, logos on helmets etc. Some teams have never changed from their original uniform design out of tradition. Like the Penn State Nittany Lions, who by todays standards have incredibly bland uniforms. Simple white helmet with a single blue stripe. White jersey, white trousers no strip. cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/164/226/psuwhite_display_image.jpg?1267116924

I like that! You know who they are at just a glance. But when teams fanny about changing their colours it get distracting. Not so much the designs but the colours. Greenbay - green and yellow. Bears - dark blue and orange. Raiders - black and silver. Dolpins - white and blue. Etc etc.... Have to admit though, the ugliest uniforms do usually belong to the Browns.
