Anyone watching this? I’m sure Bidie is familiar with the case. Fawziah Javed was allegedly pushed from Arthur’s Seat by her controlling, abusive scumbag of a husband, Kashif. It contains footage from the trial but of course not the jury. No doubt if Toxic Ricky from The Jury was on it he would persuade everyone she drove him to it by not conforming to strict Islamic codes of behaviour, although a Helpline the poor woman contacted called it Honour Abuse. Anyway, the father-in-law was interviewed and, I kid you not, he said well she was our daughter after the marriage so it’s none of that family’s business, plus she also wanted a diamond engagement ring which cost me £6700 and I still haven’t had it back!!!! Forget the dead woman, just focus on the bling.
Despite having brought the red mist down in me, it is a very good show. 90 minutes yesterday and it concludes tonight.

I just finished it. It was so sad at the end, and that mother has just aged by decades hasn’t she? Just a shell of her former self. I don’t want to spoil it for Vicky so have hidden my comment… {SPOILER:Click to Show}I couldn’t believe the late phone evidence. He said he hadn’t got one and got that chap to call 999. But in fact he had her phone and used it to call his father. What a total bastard. And neither he nor his dreadful “where’s my ring?” father rang Fawziyah’s family at 9.00 that night. The first they heard was at 5 a.m. from the Police. What a bunch of scumbags. And Iinclude that friend of his in that as well.

I finished watching it last night and totally agree on all counts Marion. I heard her mother on the radio earlier, talking about the organisation founded in Fawziyeh's name to fight violence against women. I felt so sorry for that family and, even though it was the wrong thing to do, fully understood the uncle's outburst in court.

Well to be perfectly honest I would have dropped an F-bomb at the husband once he was being taken down. And I would probably have done the same to the hideous father as well. It wasn’t helped by it being such a small courtroom and the family being immediately behind the dock. I wouldn’t have wanted to sit that close to him. Imagine being in that position if he had been found not guilty, and all the fist pumping and smirking had started. That would be unbearable.
