One of the best dramas I've seen in a while. A guy gets threatened by some young thug outside his home. He hits out in frustration and the young lad is seriously hurt and stops breathing. Guy saves his life but the boy ends up hospitalized and in a coma. Big problem is the Dad is a violent criminal who treats this guy as a hero for saving his son's life. Will the lad recover and spill the beans to his Dad about what actually happened?
Well worth a watch on channel 5 catch up!

Yes, I’m watching this. I wasn’t going to bother after channel 5 massacred their version of The Catch (also with Jason Watkins, but I wasn’t blaming him!) last year, but I read a very complimentary review in the Guardian about it, so decided to give it a go. It really is riveting. Poor bloke, talk about having everything thrown at you at the same time!

Tin hat on! I’m watching it but think it’s pretty awful! I just want to see how it ends up, but I loathe everyone in it (including Simon) except for the detective and the wife. I have also pressed the FF button quite a bit. I don’t know why I don’t like it. I think it is Jason Watkins’ performance which puts me off and, although I am quite happy to loathe the wrong’uns (and goodness that father is intimidating and his son totally vile), I find Simon too frustrating for words.

Well I’ve finished it and think overall it was Simon’s breathing that got on my wick the most! Honestly if I had to live with that, I would be stressed out. I quite liked the finale where Paul acknowledged what a little sh*t his son was because I agreed with him!

It's been quite a while since there was a drama that I've felt interested in enough to watch right through. This was certainly an improvement on anything else that's been on recently but the ending was a bit of a damp squib that just seemed to fizzle out. Simon was charged with GBH so what happened about that? Did that bit get left on the cutting room floor?

Exactly what I was wondering, vicky. Very underwhelming end to what had been a very suspenseful story.

Agree about the ending.

Agree about the ending. Oh yes, I remember that bit now but the last we heard of the investigation was Simon being told that in a police interview and still saying "no comment". It would have been better to spell out that the case was dropped instead of leaving it unsaid.Poor direction I think

Worth watching, I felt. Certainly worries and anxiety piled up on Simon. Really expected either Jordan to kill Paul or vice versa so actually I was happy with the ending.
