It was nearly a great game but lord knows what's happened to Italy. Haven't seen them that bad for years

Dad always said that Italy played too defensively, was that the case this year, only worse?
And England fans are disappointed in their team for not winning the Denmark game; Gareth Southgate said his men must do better. No doubt they will be given a stiff talking-to!

No, not really. They don't play anywhere near as defensively as they used to but they also don't play with the flair and confidence that they did. They're just ... meh.

Well what an unexpected disappointment - said no Scotland football fan ever....  As my brother remarked - the fact that the 3 of us were playing games on our phones after 20 minutes spoke volumes as to the quality of our play. And of course a last minute goal in extra time. No wonder we drink!  |

Except it wasn't a penalty. Jumping in front of the defender and then falling over is your own fault.
Look Scotland got there, they've had a good time and now they need to start thinking about the World Cup.
