Just started watching this new sci-fi. It looks gorgeous, great sfx, and a brilliant lead actress. But I wish the writers would do their research.
A ship is calling the Beacon, on the edge of 'known space', and is asking for safe passage through clouds of dark matter. The beacon doesn't turn red and the comms goes down so the ship is destroyed.
This happens at the start and I've already given myself an eye roll headache.
DARK MATTER DOES NOT INTERACT WITH MATTER!
Dear God. And now there's stuff going on that has nothing to do with a massive ship contains thousands of people getting blown to bits. Conversations with no context. I think it's meant to keep you watching but I'm finding it annoying. I'll watch the first one but I think it's a dud
