It started out on CBS in 2011, was cancelled (twice), and moved to A&E for season 4. A&E finally killed it off in 2016. Altogether, there are four seasons comprising a total of 61 episodes.

Replacing Elementary next week is not, sadly, series 2 but a show called The Five. This is a British thriller where a five year old went missing 20 years ago and his DNA is found at a crime scene. It was created by Harlan Coben (one of my favourite authors). It stars O-T Fagbenle (Luke in The Handmaid's Tale), Lee Ingleby and Geraldine James. I haven't investigated too far as I might hit a spoiler but it scores 7.6 on IMDB. The EPG says it follows four lifelong friends who are forced to revisit a tragedy from their past.
