And now, from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week! Just seen this in 1958 Granada Broadcast all over northern England from Winter Hill for the west and Emley moor for us in Lincolnshire and to those people living north of the Humber, Anglia started in 1959 I believe they used the knight on his horse for networked programmes , but just the Anglia banner for local (ps I emigrated to Lancashire in 1970)

Granada was memorable, London Weekend, and of course, ATV (The Golden Shot!) depends where you live, if Anglia was your local station you only got the banner unless the programme was being networked. one of the original shareholders of the Company that ran Anglia was a Farmer named Dick Joyce , so we got a farming prog on Anglia and Farming Diary on the BBC ( Country files ancestor)

I have a few of "Bygones" by Dick Joyce books. I must have a look for them. I haven't thought of them in years!
