For me, the whole thing seemed a bit rushed, and the ending a bit of all ends tying up in about ten minutes. A shame really, because I thought it was well filmed and acted - particularly by the actress playing Mary Ann. It seemed as if a finite time-frame had been allocated, but there was too much content to be comfortably fitted in and explored.

Yes, I agree with all of that.

Yes, very hurried. Why was she stealing money from her rich husband? Why did she need to do that, or did I miss the reason?
I don't think it was lack of time though, I think the writing could have made things clearer along the way.
Still, it held my attention and Joanne Froggatt was very good.

I also wondered why she had to steal the £50 from her husband and what did she do with it. She was a good nurse to the chap on the sofa, going above and beyond the call of duty, I await the visit of the district nurse now to dress my carbuncle.I think that image of Joanne Froggatt on the sofa will stay with me forever. It nearly gave me one of my turns. Mrs. Owl keeps offering to make me a cup of tea, very kind of her.
