Has anybody been watching this 3rd series, written by Charlie Brooker? The first two series were on terrestrial channels and now this new one is on Netflix. If you haven't seen any before, they're about the effect that modern technology, eg social media, has on our lives. Pretty harrowing, but well written and interesting.

I wondered if it was the same thing when I saw it on Netflix. I might give it a go but sometimes he's a bit too dark for me.

Yes, I know what you mean - I have watched three so far and they are pretty intense. The first one is probably one of the lighter ones (about how people give rankings on social media, etc).

Black Mirror does tend to be rather dark and I need to be in the right mood to watch it. I had not realised that season three was out. Stepson#2 really liked the first two series I will have to let him know about it, if he does not know already.

I thought the first one in the current series, about VR sex, was just meh.
So I wasn’t enthusiastic going into Smithereens (the Andrew Scott story), but I was pleasantly surprised. Suspenseful and sad in equal parts, with some black humour on the side.
Worth a watch.
