Just started watching this new cop show and it's pretty good.
It's a female cop who gets in touch with her dead father through a ham radio connected via a time portal.
Yeah I know, it sounds really stupid but it does work in the context of the show. It's more a time-travel trope than a ghost trope.
TT usually annoys me because writers tend to skim over, or even completely ignore the paradoxes. But this uses the paradoxes as part of the plot! Which I don't think I've seen before. At least not done like this.

Thanks for posting this, I will give it a try. I am sure I remember the same or very similar idea in a film or TV movie from around 2000 (it may have been a mini series, not sure), in that it was a fireman in touch with his dead father. Edit, I just did a search and it was the film 'Frequency' that i was remembering, so it looks like this series is a reworking of that with a female lead. www.imdb.com/title/tt0186151/

It is based on the film. I've now seen all seven episodes available so I'm waiting for the next one to come out.

Just watched episode 8 and I think I know who the killer is...... possibly.
I'm really enjoying it and a bit annoyed at having to wait a week. Not something I'm used to with Netflix!

Now I have to wait until Jan 5th! Nearly four weeks. What kind of nonsense is that? gaah
I shall have to watch the last one again cos I will have forgotten what's happened by then.
