Hello - following a comment about Radio 1 and whether anyone on the Forum listens, I though I would do a simple poll (hope this works - never done this before!)

Just voted for R4, but I do listen to LBC quite a lot too.

The only radio stations I listen to are Radio Five Live and an internet station that plays a wide mix of music. You turn it on and hope they are playing something you like! But the best thing is there's no-one talking.

Shows how out of touch I am with BBC Radio as I didn't even think of 5 and 6

I think I'd say I listen to 5 Live mostly, with occasional visits to Radio 4, and the local radio (Berkshire or Solent) for the Mon-Fri Late Show...anyone else listening to Paul Miller

Its good about 50% of the time. I usually have it on the background when I'm doing other stuff on the puter as it means it doesn't matter if I stop listening for a bit. I got from this page: www.internet-radio.com/ There's a huge choice.

I voted for Radio 2, but I also regularly listen to: Absolute Classic Rock, Absolute 80's, Smooth, Magic, Mellow Magic and Heart (for music) and Radio 4 Xtra for classic comedies and Doctor Who audio dramas. I listen to the radio A LOT!

I like Radio 2 and these days it's really the only station I tune in to. It's good to have on in the background at work. Mostly music with only a bit of chit chat.

I mainly listen to Radio 2, but the other day I downloaded I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (R4 I presume), as I haven't heard that for years! My mum always used to do the ironing with that on, she had Radio 4 on quite a lot. I'm only really listening at lunchtimes unless I'm doing chores or decorating. (The rest of the time, I'm listening and typing what I hear!)

It seems you can only vote for one station. I voted for R3 but I listen to R4 more often, and Classic FM very occasionally.

I voted for R4 but I also listen to some world service and Five Live. Actually I seldom listen to live broadcasts as there is a three hour time difference with the UK. Most of my listening is either via podcasts or iPlayer radio.

My favourite is actually RTE Radio 1 (Ireland, but can be received in Britain on Long Wave, 252). It's interesting to hear what others think of the Brits (and it's not always good). The BBC equivalent would be a mixture of Radio 2 and Radio 4, but with far fewer 'personalities' (yes, Mr Humphries, I'm looking at you).
