Well, yes it is rubbish, but all the positives still apply - lovely scenery, escapism, a warm bath in a horrible February. And Patrick Kennedy makes a good moustache-twirling villain - last time I saw him he was the upper class clueless landowning brother of Lydia Leonard in The Thirty Nine Steps, nice but dim. This made a refreshing change!
I don't think we need to worry about Neville being wrongly convicted!

Yes there is a certain lack of jeopardy, we know there’s no way Neville will get convicted, but I’m still interested to see how Robert Webb’s character and the guy who came over from England fit into all this.

Yup, and what is Sophie's job that she is allowed to work remotely from half way round the world? I want that job!

I like the cast but the writing is poor and lately the acting hasn't been that good. I'm still watching though.

When they were discussing the letter in the police station, I was disappointed that, when pondering what it reminded them of, no one said A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie. Well it would have made me laugh!!!

I immediately thought of that Christie novel - thought maybe it might be based on it, but it seems not.

So what are we going for here, folks?
I'm guessing that Robert Wossname's character killed the criminologist, setting up Neville for the murder, and the mysterious disappearing UK detective will help our gang to solve it.
On another matter. St Marie is supposed to be a French colony, so why is Catherine the only one who speaks English with a French accent, and everybody else with a Caribbean accent?

Not all the same Caribbean accent, either!

I agree with you, Bouncy. The most likely person to have set him up is the Prepper. But the logistics of it are puzzling me. Are we thinking that Webb is following Neville around waiting for an opportunity?

He was definitely following him at the end of the Prepper episode.

True. He definitely looked a bit upset.

According to next week’s write up a DI Karen Flitcroft from the department of Policing Standards is coming in to investigate. The prepper, (Robert Webb) has to be involved somehow, and then there’s his friend from Liverpool and Sophie herself could even be involved. So it could be mayhem, or bonkers. Probably bonkers given the scripts this series.

I'd still watch a bad episode of DiP than some of the other stuff we are subjected to.
Miranda - shall we comment on the new Kris Marshall series on this thread, or start a new one?

Start a new one, I reckon

A bit sad, because I really used to enjoy this, but they left us with a serious cliff-hanger last week, and I haven’t wondered about it since… I will probably watch to see what nonsense they come up with, but it won’t matter if I forget
