I saw somewhere it was Steve, but took that with a pinch of salt because it seems far fetched. Plus the fact I can't remember her having any scenes with him.! What ... you mean Steve MacDonald? Surely not. It could only be Robert or Nick! That's who I read, there is also Zeedan!!

I think Zeedan could well be in the frame. Robert or Zeedan for me.

Sorry Les Dennis is leaving. I rather like his character. So did I, I thought he fitted in well.

I used to watch "Coronation Street" and it was a favourite with both my sisters until the violence and the "Hayley "cancer story . None of the three of us can bear to watch it any more. We have seen both our father and step mother reduced to skeletons by cancer and we thought that the real life sufferes were insulted by the portrayal of a cancer victim . I hate bloodshed and bullies but the presence of both in soaps in general have led me to give all the soaps a wide berth now. They seem to be far too sensationalist and jumping on the bandwagon . I enjoyed the fun and the humour of the old days of "The Street" -no more

It depends on the type of cancer whether people are reduced to skeletons. Several of my friends in a club I belong to have died as a result of breast cancer and, for around half of them, you wouldn't have realised there was anything wrong with them. My next door neighbour died of pancreatic cancer, and even her husband didn't know until three weeks before she died - she didn't want to upset him. My father died of lung cancer and didn't know it - he was no thinner than you'd expect an 84 year-old to be, He just had a smokers cough and complained of a pain in his back. Wasn't until he collapsed into a coma and was taken to hospital that any of us knew.
All soaps are sensational - there'd be no point in showing the daily lives of us boring, ordinary people. They wouldn't get any viewers.
Yes, you can pick holes in stories - in fact there's a thread on Digital Spy for Coronation Street called "Suspension of Reality" where all the unbelievable things are discussed. Gets quite fun at times.
